MIAMI GARDENS — Karlos Dewayne Stevenson, the 25-year-old man who allegedly shot at a woman who he had promised a modeling contract, turned himself in this morning. Stevenson showed up at the Miami Gardens Police Department with the gun, said Riviera Beach police Sgt. Pat Galligan. Stevenson will be extradited to Palm Beach County later this week, Galligan said.
Stevenson took a woman to the Sands Hotel on Singer Island Saturday, offering her a modeling contract, according to police. He then made sexual advances on her and shot at her when she tried to jump from a second-story window, police said. The woman escaped uninjured, and Stevenson fled in a brown 2002 Chevrolet Malibu, according to police.
